With a catalogue that count over 2500 songs that were published and registered at SACM, among which more than 700 have been recorded and publicly interpreted by majour Mexican and American artists, Ariel Barreras shall be considered a key compositor of Regional Mexican Music that is not only influenced by Mexican traditional music but by English and Latin pop as well. He himself often cites the Beatles as one of his major reference artists.
